Osteoarthritis research at Lund University

MAX IV

In a new article from Lund University, you can read more about osteoarthritis research conducted by researchers at Lund University. In the article, Hanna Isaksson, professor, and Martin Englund, professor, physician, and one of the initiators of The Arthritis Portal, discuss current treatment methods and the hopes for future treatments.

Synchrotron imaging, used to look inside tissues, enables the visualization of certain tissues that would otherwise not be possible. It also allows researchers to study cells in 3D without making cell sections. Furthermore, Hanna Isaksson and Martin Englund mention that they previously had to travel abroad to conduct this type of study but now hope to perform several experiments in Lund at MAX IV.
