Founder of The Arthritis Portal is new president of international OA-research organisation

Professor Martin Englund, founder of The Arthritis Portal, has recently been elected and assumed the position of President of the international organization Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI). It is the leading international organization for osteoarthritis research with members from more than 50 different countries.

OARSI regularly holds conferences where research from around the world is presented and discussed. The next scientific conference will be held by OARSI in South Korea in April 2025. Martin will serve as President of OARSI until April 2026.

“I see it as a great honor to lead an organization whose members from around the world conduct research of the highest excellence to, among other things, develop new drugs and other methods for treating osteoarthritis in various joints,” Martin says.
